Tucson Dragway Hot Rod Reunion Returns in 2013

There are a number of people to thank for making the recent Tucson Dragway Hot Rod Reunion such a success.  Tom Koenen and Jon Bradford, and their staff at Southwestern International Raceway, went out of their way to make the event happen.  We were also blessed with some great racers who brought very special cars to the event.  Our volunteer committee worked tirelessly to make the event a success and we could not have done it without our local sponsors.  Most of all, the large gathering of racers and fans who came out to renew friendships made all of the work worthwhile. 

The Reunion was planned as a one-time deal.  However, we have been overwhelmed by the positive response to the event and by requests to do it again next year.  Everyone there had so much fun that we will be hosting the event in 2013.  The 2013 Reunion will be held on May 11th, but we will move it to Saturday night to avoid the heat of the day. While there will be things going on in the afternoon, the majority of the event will be after dark on the lighted drag strip and in the large, paved, lighted pit area.  

The free Friday night meet & greet party will be on May 10th.
